2022 Commonwealth Games
First held in 1930 in Hamilton, Canada, today the Commonwealth Games is the world’s second largest multi-sports event, and the fourth most watched global broadcast sports event. Featuring athletes from 71 nations and territories.
BMW supported the Police and Ambulance Service (which is a government organisation in the UK) with two Authority versions of the BMW Motorrad Authorities CE 04 e-Scooter. They were provided by the BMW Group for use over the Commonwealth Games period. The e-Scooters provided a zero-emission resource to cover the athlete’s village, the Alexander stadium and beyond.
Sustainable legacy
Sustainable legacy
The Birmingham 2022 games will be the first Commonwealth Games to create a carbon neutral legacy and set sustainability benchmarks for future Games. The BMW Motorrad CE 04 Authority e-Scooter supports this aim by combining the performance and sustainability of a zero-emission vehicle with the factory fitted specialist equipment required to perform.
The basis of the CE 04 e-Scooter is a powerful motor with a maximum output of 31 kW (42 hp). The top speed of 120 km/h, the ample battery capacity with short charging time and a range of up to 130 km, combined with smart connectivity solutions and plenty of flexible storage space, create an “open-air office” that ensures high standards and ease of use in day-to-day operations.
