BMW Group Poland wins the largest tender in Polish Police history
BMW Group Polska has been cooperating with the Polish Police since many years, with whom we share a commitment to increasing safety on Polish roads. So far, officers have used unmarked BMW 330i xDrive and police cars based on the 320i. In November, BMW Group Poland finalized another purchase, the largest in Polish Police history.
As part of the 'Safer on the Roads - Motorcycles for Road Traffic Services' programme, 503 BMW R 1250 RT-P motorcycles were ordered in a special configuration with police equipment and motorcycle suits. Twenty-five of them will be sent to the Police Training Center in Legionowo near Warsaw, where new officers will practice their driving skills on them. The other vehicles will go into active service on Polish roads.
The official handover of the last shipment took place on 24 November in Warsaw with the presence of Christian Haririan, Managing Director of BMW Group Polska, Karol Kostrzewa, Director of BMW Motorrad Polska and representatives of the Police Headquarters. BMW Motorrad Polska and the BMW Motorrad Zdunek dealer were responsible for the implementation of the order.
We are very grateful to the Polish Police for once again showing us their trust. The BMW R 1250 RT-P has already managed to prove its worth in action, and the first compliments about it are reaching us. We are very happy to cooperate with such an important institution and to have a real impact on the level of safety in Poland.
